Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park 

Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park is a parent-child water playground under the Youxing Group and was built by Cowboy Group according to the original site landscape, buildings’ water system, and site planning. In addition, Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park combined five aspects factors as the design concept of the park and each integration of the design factor would make the design theme and purpose clearer and the integrating degree of design concept and landing higher. In this park, there are the Protagonists YOYO,Penguin GUGU, and Polar Bear BENBEN accompanying children to explore and grow.

Design Concept

Preliminary Analysis

Based on the customer demands of the theme park playground, the design of the theme park playground should be based on the current situation of the site to reduce the engineering quantity, make full use of the building’s water system, and organically combine the water region and land zone,so as to create a children's park with a distinctive style, full of creativity, novel and popular glacier theme and water play as the core. Furthermore, according to the above needs of customers, Cowboy Group had implemented the following design principles in the design and planning of the park, including parent-child interaction, interestingness, safety, richness, and integrating degree.

IP Figures

In this theme park playground, three core IP figures are added to accompany children to adventure. First of all, the protagonist YOYO, as the best partner of little adventurers, is enthusiastic, friendly and loves to share happiness. Second, the Penguin GUGU, the guide of the Great Ice Age, is clever and sensible and always brings good news to the little adventurers. In addition, the Polar Bear BENBEN, the guardian of the Great Ice Age, is kind and brave and always helps everyone selflessly.

Story Line

When building the Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park, Cowboy Group unfolded a vivid story line around the park design theme and the story between the three core IP characters. Besides, the whole story line is inextricably linked with the functional zoning of the park and forms a complete play line.

The children who entered the Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park would be assembled as small explorers in the “Adventurer Street” of the park and started an adventure with the protagonist YOYO.

In the “Land of Life”, the last home of life, the penguin GUGU brought some bad news. Due to the bad weather, many animals were trapped on the migration path and needed to be rescued by small adventurers. As brave little adventurers, the children and their partners decided to go to the frozen depths together to find and rescue their trapped animal partners.

When they embarked on the journey, they first needed to pass through the“ Fierce Battle Glacier”. Here, they used icebreakers to dig channels in the glacier, and then followed the channels to the next destination-“Crossing Xuefeng Mountain”.

The area “Crossing Xuefeng Mountain” was covered by a vast expanse of snow, and the road ahead was full of difficulties. At this moment, the kind and brave Polar Bear BENBEN walked out of the dense forest and opened the way for the little explorers to pass through this snow-covered forest.

After passing through the snow-covered forest, the little adventurers saw Noah's Ark setting sail in the “Sailing Area” not far away. They boarded Noah's Ark and rescued the trapped animals from various places. After the little adventures had rescued all the trapped animals, the little adventures celebrated with the trapped animals on the glacier.

The little adventurers and the animals took Noah's Ark together and returned to the final paradise -the “Land of Life”. When they arrived at the “Triumphant Return Area”, they shouted excitedly, and the surrounding glaciers also spewed out high water columns, as if cheering them on.

Functional Areas and  Corresponding Outdoor Playground Equipment

The Glacier Adventure Outdoor Theme Park is divided into six functional areas including the Adventurer Street Area, Land of Life Area, Fierce Battle Glacier Area, Crossing Xuefeng Mountain Area, Sailing Area and Triumphant Return Area and each functional area would be equipped with different corresponding outdoor playground equipment according to its design purpose and design concept.

Meanwhile,the Land of Life Area is an educational parent-child area which is suitable for young children to play,and is equipped with educational walls, seesaws, climbing nets and other recreational facilities;the Fierce Battle Glacier Area is the jumping and climbing area which is suitable for middle-aged children to play,and sets multiple and different kinds of trampoline and comprehensive climbing facilities;the Crossing Xuefeng Mountain Area is the comprehensive expansion area which is suitable for the middle-aged and elderly children to play,and matches a lot of projects with certain amount exercise and physical fitness items,like high-altitude expansion,corridor,etc;the Sailing Area is the cool water play area which is suitable for all age group to play,and is equipped with Noah’s Ask water playground and interactive water play equipment;the Triumphant Area is the science play water area which is suitable for all age groups to play, and matches the science play water equipment and shouting fountain products ,which can make children learn the knowledge about taking water and using water during the playing.
