Tianyue Mansion Aerospace Playground – Where Durable Outdoor Play Structures Meet Interstellar Dreams
17 °CI. Project Overview
Located in Phase I of Tianyue Mansion in Panzhou, Guizhou, this 2800㎡ aerospace-themed immersive playground is designed for children aged 0-12. The durable outdoor play structures is constructed from fiberglass and sheet metal, ensuring durability and suitability for the outdoor mountainous environment. The park features over 30 different outdoor play structures, offering more than 50 different ways to play.

II. Design Concept
The project integrates a non-powered aerospace-themed playground system, combining outdoor adventure, water play, family leisure, and aerospace science education. Moving beyond the traditional single-play model of community playgrounds, it creates an immersive interstellar play space that is thematic, fun, and educational, achieving edutainment. Every element is built with durable outdoor play structures to guarantee safety and longevity, even with high-frequency daily use by active children.
III. Area Distribution and Functional Zoning
(I) First Encounter – Space Gate Area
This is the starting point of the space journey – children step into the fantastic universe through a "space gate." The circular swing group is suitable for children to teenagers, with multiple sets of circular swings creating a starry sky effect, satisfying the needs of parents and children sitting together or playing alone; the circular swings gently sway around the central square, as if floating in a weightless galaxy.

(II) Encounter–Rocket Adventure Zone
The landmark rocket launch tower integrates multi-level climbing, high-altitude slides, and viewing platforms, simulating a rocket launch scene. It features climbing poles, ropes, rock climbing points, and challenge nets, creating a high-altitude adventure route for older children. A space station playground with diverse durable outdoor play structures, satellite seesaw, airplane extension, and planetary science wall surround the main tower, constructing a complete interstellar adventure route. Terrain tunnels and cloud slides create tiered adventure spaces. In the rocket base, little explorers perform tasks in each capsule, experiencing a dreamlike encounter between the real world and space.

(III) Success–Dream Takes Flight
The core interstellar adventure section of the park utilizes undulating slopes to create tiered, age-appropriate play areas. For younger children, a sandpit with a fun spinning wheel, sand diggers, and star sand collectors creates a space-themed sand play area. On the slopes, a cloud-shaped double-tube slide, multi-layered climbing nets, and rock climbing structures are built, along with a unique lunar walk device to simulate a lunar landing experience.

A space-themed mural throughout the area enhances the interstellar atmosphere, integrating obstacle courses, sand and water interactions, and astronomical science education, allowing children aged 3-12 to play at different levels. The three-dimensional terrain fully utilizes the space's value, serving as the core experiential node for the entire park's educational and entertaining activities. Children board a giant "dream airplane," running and flying between cloud slides and propeller bridges, the entire scene seemingly floating in the sky, with the sound of wind and engine roaring in their ears, taking them on a journey around the world.

(IV) Training – Happy Growth
The site features several green micro-topographical tunnel hills where children can freely explore. A blue nebula-themed rubber floor paired with gentle interstellar installations creates a safe and soothing environment. Interactive reaction training equipment uses sound and light games to train children's concentration and reaction speed. Seamlessly connected to the Dream Starter Zone, this area caters to both early childhood sensory development and relaxation for older children, serving as a core area for parent-child recreation and light, educational interaction for all ages.

(V) Exploration – Journey for Dreams
An immersive interstellar water play area is created using the site's water system. Centered around a galaxy-themed water house, it connects a full range of interactive water features: a moonwalk, water pump, sluice gate, rotating waterwheel, spherical water play area, multi-functional water play area, horn water gun, and a water curtain gate.

A streamlined blue water system simulates the Milky Way, combining movement and stillness, allowing for water play year-round. The site includes changing rooms and a water supply room, providing comprehensive logistical support for parents and children. Children traverse climbing nets interwoven like galactic orbits, challenging their balance and courage before finally arriving at this water wonderland. Here, children discover the magic of nature and science amidst Archimedes' waterwheel, spiral tubes, and flowing water beads.

(VI) Basic Service Facilities
The main entrance of the park is equipped with a clear wayfinding system and separates pedestrians and vehicles throughout the area; it is equipped with a water supply room, a designated changing room, multiple rest platforms under the trees, and landscape green isolation belts. The original trees are used to create shaded under-tree spaces to reduce the heat of hard surfaces and achieve the integration and coexistence of recreation and natural landscape.

All supporting facilities, from rest benches to signage posts, are selected to complement the durable outdoor play structures, ensuring consistent quality and low maintenance across the entire site.
